I have been using this with my taz + tez Archy backpack for family photoshoots, weddings and events. Having the Lens Cap Keeper on the side of the bag is useful to always know where my cap is so I can quickly change lenses without digging through the backpack searching for a missing cap. Depending on how you shoot you can find a place for it on your camera strap or wrist strap.
The only improvement I’d like to see to the Lens Cap Keeper is making the back strap compatible with Molle webbing (commonly used across camera bag ranges such as Lowepro) or to wear on a belt with the opening facing up.
The Lens Cap Keeper is a handy piece of kit that will find a home in most photographers’ bags. For event photography, lifestyle photographers and wedding photographers, having a dedicated place for your lens cap is a useful timesaver. If you are on the go with multiple lenses, this will simplify one step of your switch routine. For single-lens shooters you’ll appreciate being able to safely protect your lens with greater ease. At less than $35 AUD for the Lens Cap Keeper, this is an easy add to your kit.
